Garrett attempts to calm Dalton, trying to assuage his guilt about killing in self-defense and his frustration at being unable to end Wesley's campaign. Elizabeth also tries to dissuade Dalton from continuing before Emmett's home is blown up by Wesley's henchman Jimmy Reno. Although Emmett is saved, the enraged Dalton fights Reno and rips his throat out, much to Elizabeth's shock and disgust. After Wild Bill and his posse put the tough-as-nails Uncle Nate in the ICU, his next-of-kin Shane takes a leave of absence from busting significant drug dealers to dealing with some local Louisiana scum. That means you, Jake Busey, who spends all of “Road House 2” doing an impression of his Oscar-nominated father, Gary Busey. No one in “Road House 2” wins an Academy Award, and it’s not because MGM bypassed a limited theatrical run.
Homeowner witnesses thieves ransack Southern California …
After sending his henchmen to unsuccessfully try to disrupt business at the Double Deuce, Wesley offers to hire Dalton himself. Dalton refuses and Wesley uses his connections to prevent the Double Deuce from purchasing alcohol from any suppliers. Dalton uses his own connections to secure some supplies and reunites with his mentor Wade Garrett, an aging bouncer. Wesley sends his men to destroy the Double Deuce's supplies, but Dalton and Garrett defeat them. Road House has achieved cult status and was voted as the most watched film on cable in 2020.[5][6] The film was followed by a direct-to-DVD 2006 sequel that was widely panned, and was remade in 2024 to mixed/positive critic reviews. In the world of “Road House,” Dalton has been dead for a couple of years; apparently, “Be nice until it’s time to not be nice” doesn’t work on bullets.

Thousands gathered to honor beloved L.A. pastor Rev. …
After watching the film, he decides that the only way to solve every problem is by roundhouse kicking everything in sight including his family. The episode was dedicated in memory of Swayze, who died of pancreatic cancer on September 14, 2009.[36] Since the episode, Peter kicking people has since became a gag in the show. Later, Wesley contacts Dalton threatening that either Elizabeth or Garrett will die. Garrett is attacked, but fights off his assailants and comes to Double Deuce, while Dalton checks on Elizabeth, who is safe but unwilling to talk to Dalton any further. Distraught, Dalton storms Wesley's estate, kills most of his henchmen and defeats, but relents from killing Wesley, refusing to give in to his anger.
Critics Reviews
Tilghman plans to invest substantial funds into the dilapidated club and needs Dalton's highly regarded skills to tackle the endemic violence and rough customers. Dalton agrees in exchange for full authority over the club's operations, immediately firing several employees for poor behavior, theft, and drug dealing. For privacy, Dalton stays in a sparse barn owned by a farmer Emmett, unaware that the mansion across the adjacent lake is owned by Brad Wesley, a crime lord controlling the town through bribery, intimidation, and violence.
According to the homeowner, the burglars were inside the home for roughly four minutes and 30 seconds. The pair of suspects went to the upstairs bedroom and took multiple suitcases. Meanwhile, in New York City, Shane, along with other agents, bust drug dealers in a night club. Shane later gets a phone call about his uncle being in the hospital and getting badly beaten.

Elizabeth arrives and reconciles with Dalton, but Wesley recovers and attempts to shoot him before being shot dead by the locals, including Emmett and Red. Sometime later, the modernized and refined Double Deuce bustles with customers while Dalton and Elizabeth swim together in a lake. Community members are hoping to save an iconic Santa Monica diner that’s been serving locals for generations. The daylong memorial, including a viewing and Celebration of Life wake, was held at First African Methodist Episcopal Church where Murray served as pastor for 27 years.
Baltimore Gas and Electric, hazardous materials and fire investigation officials responded to the scene. A house exploded late Saturday night in Essex, filling the neighborhood with smoke. Swayze does not appear in “Road House 2.” Sadly, the “Dirty Dancing” icon was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer two years after “Last Call” was released; he died the following year.

Shane decides to stay in town since he can finally be at peace after finding his father's murderers and exacting justice from them. The suspect later drove away and was PIT-maneuvered on the westbound 91 Freeway before officers were able to overtake the van and arrest him. Around $50,000 will go towards building improvements while the rest will be allocated toward back rent.
"We have all of our resources here, including BGE, who runs our gas for the county," said Francis. "We're going to make sure that everything is safe in the neighborhood. We don't know what caused this so that'll be looked into." Francis said both fire officials and BGE are investigating reports from neighbors about a possible odor hours before the explosion.
Jake Busey is suitably slimy as Wild Bill, even if his character is somewhat one-dimensional and lacking in depth. Notably, the new Gyllenhaal-led Road House premiered on Prime Video via MGM, a distributor that apparently has no plans for a theatrical release. The only Road House entry to compete for box office dollars was the 1989 original, which grossed an impressive $61 million against an estimated $15 million budget.
Still the only “Road House” to get a theatrical release, the Swayze flick ended up doing most of its damage on home entertainment. The film isn’t well-reviewed — it has a 41 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a 36 on Metacritic — but it is a bonafide cult classic. By any possible measure, “Road House 2” is a significantly worse film, and I’ve yet to find any interested cult. The action scenes are well choreographed and intense, with a focus on martial arts and hand-to-hand combat. Richard Norton is particularly impressive as Ice, the ruthless villain who gives Shane a run for his money in the fighting department.
